You can find La Citta Di Pulcinella at the top end of Via di Leuca, almost as far as Castromediano but still only a 15/20 minute walk from Porta San Biagio.

It's a rock solid Neapolitan pizzeria complete with fake interior Napoli balconies (with clothes hanging from them), check table clothes, and Moretti on tap.

If you know anything about pizza napoletana you'll know it's all about the dough, and on our visit the dough was on point- crispy edges with a soft, chewy interior. Again, if you know whats up, then you'll know when it comes to toppings less is more (nobody likes pizza soup). While I'm a massive admirer of this principle, there really was less on our pizza than average, and at 5€ a Margherita (7.50€ for an average pizza), they were dancing dangerously close to the edge of the 'good value for money' line.

All that said, both me and my dining partner finished our pizzas and were like 'wooow, that was a really good pizza'.

The menu is classic Neapolitan, there's nothing surprising here, but on our visit I found it to be an extremely reliable pleasant pizzeria that gives you everything you want from a quality Napoli joint.
